Humorous Format

For our little poems we chose the classic five line limerick format for all three thousand of these pages because it is both humorous and terse. Each poem has thirteen anapests arranged in five lines rhymed ‘a-a-b-b-a’. To read with the correct cadence emphasize the ‘bold-face‘ syllables. .

Duh duh dah, duh duh dah, duh duh dah.
Duh duh dah, duh duh dah, duh duh dah.
Duh duh dah, duh duh dah.
Duh duh dah, duh duh dah.
Duh duh dah, duh duh dah, duh duh dah.
